These early cyanotypes were a nod at the colonial past and Indigenous populations affected by the Trail of Tears, the era to which this process belongs. I grew up hanging around the burial ground, Cahokia Mounds. There is a problem with our love of beauty and processes. It is the problem of parallel dimensions so before I show the rest of my selection of favourite cyanotypes from my portfolio, I want to state this.
