Berlin based Getty Image photographer Miriam May began shooting my light cuttings at the prompting of our 12-year-old sons. Bela came home one day talking about his friend Leo and how his mom was “like me”. He dragged me out in my pajamas to meet her and a few days later she came back with these. When I first saw how she’d “colored” the above Al-ʿAzīz prints, I wasn’t sure about it. I fell in love with this technique after I saw how magnificent a composition they were once Giclée printed, Mounted and Framed. My new print series incorporates various palettes, textures and image collaging inspired by Miriam.
