Through the use of a light-cutting from Die Weiße Ratte, I use wallpaper pattern symmetry and reflection to represent culture, language and identity by reinterpreting my craftwork as if this is that moment in Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s The Yellow Wallpaper when psychosis began to alter the narrators perspective of her physical surroundings in patriarchal society.
